Last week our transition year students participated in an engaging, interactive law seminar which was facilitated by Kate Hedigan of LawEd. The pupils were informed about various aspects of law including consumer law, employment rights, road traffic offences and the laws in relation to alcohol and drugs. Through the medium of a mock trial they also learned how a court operates, the roles of judges, barristers and solicitors, and the differences between civil and criminal cases. The pupils also learned about careers in law.
