Debating

Thurles C.B.S. has a proud history in debating. The School enters Quiz, Debating and Public Speaking teams, recognizing the importance of these disciplines to further students’ confidence and social and communication skills.

Teams participate local quizzes organized by Tiobraid Arann ag Labhairt, Credit Union Quizzes, local debates etc.

Two years ago we reached the “Concern All Ireland Debating Final”. This was a tremendous achievement. It took place in the RDS with Pat Kenny as Chairperson
